Here's to the BRUINS!

My heart still hurts over the Bruins' loss to the Caps last night.  Hubs & I have just wrapped up our third year as season ticket holders, and it was really sad to leave the Garden last night knowing we won't be back until September or October!

After the game, about a third of the people in the stands booed our beloved B's and walked out.  The rest of us stayed behind, stood, clapped and cheered on the team that we followed closely for the past seven months.  It was emotional!

With the B's playing some seriously great hockey down on the ice this year, we've had another great run up in the balcony cheering them on.   Even though there's no cup for the Bruins this year, we have lots of fun memories to last us through the summer.  Here's a little recap of our nights with the B's.

Opening night with our Stanley Cup tickets!

Sweet Easter Tweet

Happy Saturday, Sweets!  I just finished up some cupcakes that I'm bringing around to all of our family stops tomorrow, and wanted to share them with you.  I introduce my Easter Chick Cuppies!

I cannot take creative credit for these-- I saw the idea on Paris Pastry and had to try it for tomorrow.

They are super easy and come out so cute!

In case you're wondering, I used a box mix (gasp!!) for these - a Cinnabon swirl cake, and made my own cream cheese frosting to fill the centers and do the decorating.  Here's to hoping they taste as good as the buns in the mall smell!!

Happy Easter!

Kappa Tuesday - Temple Bar in Cambridge

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk Mousse Cake with Peanut Toffee and Creme Anglaise.  Yup.

This was my dessert last Tuesday night, when Shannon, Lindsey and I enjoyed our Kappa Tuesday at Temple Bar in Cambridge for Restaurant Week.  After an amazing dinner of roasted Jerusalem artichoke soup with chorizo, olive oil and chives, followed by grilled adobo-rubbed Mahi Mahi with plaintain and a smoked chicken black bean tamale, this was the perfect ending.  And I don't even like peanut butter!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk Mousse Cake with Peanut Toffee and Creme Anglaise.  Yup.  I said it again.  It was a super silky smooth chocolate mousse cake, studded with mini peanut butter chips, and supported by chocolate cookie crumb crust.  Unfortunately it's not listed on the regular menu at Temple Bar, but if their other desserts are anything like this one, I suggest running there and trying one asap.  A-SAP.

The restaurant is beautiful, comfortable, and the food amazing.  The parking situation isn't half bad either. A+ for Temple Bar.

PS, if you would like to try your hand at a dessert similar to this one, check out these recipes.  I haven't tried any, but they look pretty delicious!
